  2. The UAE is the largest Gulf source of foreign direct investment in Oman by the end of the third quarter.   3. ICME Medical acquires 72% of Banff Nonwovens. The International Company for Medical Industries, ICMI, announced the implementation of the purchase of 45.42% of the shares of Banff Nonwoven Fabrics Company, in accordance with the company’s general assembly decision to acquire a controlling stake in Banff.   4. The Egyptian "Giza Systems" will direct 70% of its investments to Saudi Arabia in 2024. The company is 88.19% owned by "Solutions" listed in Saudi stock market.   1. Egypt’s MAFI signs 300 million USD contracts to set up largest food industries park in Middle East. The global firms are JBT Corporation, GEA Group, and Cabinplant. The park is set to be established on a 154,000-square-meter area in Sadat City and will include five factories. (Zawya)

  2. UAE’s F&B manufacturing industry to reach 23.2 billion USD by 2025. The growth will be led by snacking and bakery segments, which have expanded by 50% and 20%, respectively. The UAE’s F&B sector is one of the key economic drivers in the country.   5. Alstom signs a contract exceeding 500 million EUR for the AlUla tram project in Saudi Arabia. The tram line, with a length of 22.4 kilometers, will be the longest cable-free line in the world.
